Old Axe Stand

This old revolving axe- stand is just one of the many item on display in the Rushworth  museum. It was made and invented by Eric O. Ristrom who took out the patient for its design.

This Axe-stand  was once use to display axes for sale in the  hardware shop which was owned by E.O.Ristrom in Rushworth. The revolving axe-stand could hold  a large number of axes..

Also on display in the Museum, are some very old  broad axes which were once used by timber cutters to trim up railway sleepers and fence post that were cut from the Iron Bark trees in the Ruahworth State Forest.
